Every object is handcrafted in Kamaro'an studio in Taiwan. The objects have unique natural patterns, patinas over time. Our studio is located in Hualien, between mountains and seas, neighbored by the pangcah tribes. We study natural materials, cultivate a sedge field and piece-dye earthy colors from shoulang yam, old betel nut and fukugi tree. We use vegetable-tanned leather from Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana, weave and dye the durable solid cotton in Taiwan with Oeko-Tex® certificated.
